A little glimpse
into who I am —

Hi there, I’m Aracely Calle, a communication designer living and creating in the vibrant city of New York. Born and raised in Ecuador, I moved to the U.S. to pursue my passion for design and to immerse myself in the creative energy of this incredible city. I’m passionate about turning ideas into visual stories. For me, design is about finding the balance between beauty, purpose, and fun.
Before finding my path in design, I studied psychology — a field that opened my eyes to the complexity of the human mind. During that time, I learned a difficult truth: we can’t always be the lifeline for the people we love. Mental health challenges like anxiety and depression can take a heavy toll, sometimes even leading us to lose those closest to us.
That experience changed the way I see the world and the purpose behind my work. In memory of someone I lost, I created Amando mi Mente, a website dedicated to sharing information and resources about mental health. It’s a project born from grief but fueled by hope — a reminder that empathy, awareness, and creativity can come together to make a difference.
I’ve always believed that design, when used thoughtfully, has the power to make life better — to solve problems, spark emotions, connect, and help people. That belief has lead me to transition toward UX/UI design, where empathy and user-centered thinking drive every creative decision. I am currently making my way there.
